The Hitmen finish the season on a winning note with a 16-5 victory over the Extreme.
Solid goaltending from the returning Graeme TILLEY and a five goal night from Mike McKERAGHAN assured us our
4th win of the season.
That being said the Hitmen finish the regular with a losing record that places
us into the bottom half of the standings.
This seasons record was 4-0-6-1 for 8 lousy points in 11 games.
The playoffs have been split into two divisions.
The top 6 teams in one Division:
1. PANTHERS - beat us 21-7 and 24-5
2. CARSMART - beat us 20-11
3. KINGS - beat us 11-7
4. PALCAM - beat us 9-6
5. COOPS WINGS - beat us 9-5
6. SANDBAGGERS - beat us 10-8
Teams 3-6 were games we should of won as we completely dominated the clubs.
And the bottom 4 teams in our divisions:
1. JACK ASTORS - beat us in OT 7-6
2. HITMEN
3. SHARPSHOOTERS - we beat 16-7
4. EXTREME - we beat 18-8 and 16-5
The game we lost to Jack Astors Boothby stood on his head as we dominated the play.
By my calculations we were probably the 3rd best team in the league but because of poor goaltending (especially me) we
have placed in the bottom.
Expect teams to dress players that haven't played all year and these will most likely be a bit harder.
