The Hitmen were established in 2001. The team in their first year, not knowing rules, with a stater goalie, went
1-11 during Regular Season and Exhibition play and never saw any playoff time. Not only did we lose 11 of 12 games
but lost the first game 26-5.
In 2002 the team re-grouped. We took on a new sponsor in Hill-San Auto Service out of Newmarket. Team
purchased really nice new blue Jerseys. The team went 2-1-0 in Exhibition, and 8-2-0 in Regular Season play for a record of
10-3-0 overall. With no playoff experience we blew up in the semi finals of the playoffs and were eliminated.
In 2003, we are again sponsored by the HILL-SAN AUTO out of Newmarket. We picked up a couple of new players, and
ran into injury problems. The team scraped out a 6-6 500 record and were eliminated in the second round of the playoffs.
In 2004, it was like GROUND HOG DAY from 2003. Sponsored once again by HILL-SAN AUTO the team squeeked
out a 6-6 record. Due to job changes, and injuries, the club was eliminated in the 2nd round of the playoffs.
In 2005, the team lost some members and brought in new blood. Two players went down with knee injuries and
the team struggled with a loosing record of 3 wins and 7 losses. The club was again eliminated in the second round of
the playoffs.
In 2006 the stats werent kept but the teamfinished with a 5-5 record and again were eliminated from the playoffs.
We expect better things in 2007. Key players have returned and the new players are younger and faster.
